Nosara Surfing
Surfing is very popular among locals and tourists in Costa Rica, and the beaches of Nosara are no different. Nosara offers challenging surfing to anyone brave enough to grab a board and take to the water.
Nosara’s laid back, relaxed atmosphere is a place surfers come to unwind. Unlike Playa Tamarindo to the north, Nosara does not get bombarded with tourism and for that reason it remains heavily unpopulated and there is plenty of surfing to go around for everyone.
Since Playa Nosara is a smaller community in comparison, it offers a unique experience with a variety of moderate accommodations, activities such as surfing, fishing, horseback riding and more.
Nosara has caught on a as destination for repeat visitors to Costa Rica who are looking for a different experience than the heavily visited beaches of Tamarindo or Hermosa. The Nosara beaches are one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful areas and the only noise that you will hear in Nosara is the sound of the waves crashing and the monkeys howling.
