			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The good news in Costa Rica Real Estate is that projects seem to be moving along quite well and new development continues.  In the popular San Jose Suburban area of Escazu and Santa Ana, real estate sales may have slowed from 2006-2009, but new homes and projects kept sprouting up throughout the entire time.  Here is an overview of the new developments in Costa Rica Real Estate.</p>
<ul>
<li>The Lindora area of Santa Ana has doubled in size, adding new restaurants like Applebee&#8217;s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Teriyaki Experience to brand new plazas on the main strip.  Lindora has also built several new high rise office complexes that house many local businesses requiring office space.  This area exploded starting in 2004 and has not stopped.  There is also a new commercial plaza going in near the newly erected national soccer complex towards the airport.</li>
<li>In Escazu, there are several new high-end commercial real estate developments.  The Multiplaza Mall, Costa Rica&#8217;s most popular shopping destination, doubled in size and store capacity.  This renovation/addition was completed in December of 2009 and includes new stores such as Armani Exchange, the North Face, Simans department store, Apple, and Carolina Herrera.  Just blocks away, the new &#8220;Avenida Escazu&#8221; has opened.  This commercial and residential area is similar to Miami&#8217;s Lincoln Road, offering the latest in fashion in many different retail stores.  The area is also home to several new dining destinations, and features the first Imax theater in Central America.</li>
</ul>
<p>Homes, commercial plaza&#8217;s, and condominium complexes are still being erected and heavily marketed in the Central Valley.  People are still coming in droves from nations like the United States, Canada, Colombia, Argentina, and Venezuela.  While global real estate may be making a very slow comeback, <strong>Costa Rica Real Estate</strong> is holding up just fine.</p>

<p>This <strong>Nosara Land</strong> blog was created as a point of reference as we are selling a large tract of land (or finca, as they are called in Costa Rica), in Nosara, Costa Rica.  We hope this blog covers all of the proper details one could look for when looking for land in Costa Rica.  If not, feel free to shoot us an email with questions and we&#8217;ll do our best to answer them.  (Real estate brokers, you are welcome to market our property as well, so don&#8217;t be shy.)</p>
<p>For starters, we aren&#8217;t real estate agents by trade.  We don&#8217;t market other properties, nor are we trying to sell anything other than our own personal investment in Costa Rica land.  Just recently, we decided to put our Nosara property on the market in the hopes that someone out there is looking for a Costa Rican investment.  It&#8217;s a great finca that took a lot of time for us to find, and we could not be more at peace with our decision to invest in Nosara, now that we look back at all of the other opportunities we passed on at the time of making this investment.  We saw many of our other investments (US real estate and securities) lose substantial amounts of money, while this has been a rock-solid investment in a part of Costa Rica that people adore.</p>
<p>Another reason for this <strong>Costa Rica Land</strong> blog is that we felt that since there was so much going on in Costa Rica, (stuff that affects the value of our land) we felt it was good to document all of this informati0n in one central location.  By doing this, we can refer interested parties to this website to get all the answers they need that pertain to our land and the general Nosara and Guanacaste area.  (Plus it saves us a lot of explaining in the numerous email inquiries we get!)  Bottom line, as things happen, we will continue to add to this website.</p>
<p>We started investing in the country of Costa Rica in the early 2000&#8217;s.   Our Nosara finca is an investment that has held up through tough economic times, as it&#8217;s a gigantic piece of Costa Rican land, (as they say, there is only so much of it) situated in a peaceful, tranquil part of the country.  Nosara has a tendency to really keep the natural mystics of Costa Rica, which is why we chose this pristine area for an investment.  People who have invested in similar properties nearby our finca include Michael Jordan and the famous English soccer player, Michael Owen.  Celebrities such as those two gentlemen have many people advising them, and they chose Nosara land.  We feel we&#8217;re in pretty good company!</p>
